The Beginning of a Revolution
It all started in 2025 at the University of Rwanda, where three passionate computer science students - Roger, Jean Martin, and Lewis - found themselves struggling to access quality educational resources. The university library had limited copies of essential textbooks, and digital resources were scattered across different platforms.
Frustrated by this challenge, they decided to create a solution that would not only help themselves but also thousands of other students facing similar difficulties. They spent countless nights coding, designing, and testing what would eventually become itekaVault.
The name "itekaVault" combines the Kinyarwanda word "Iteka" meaning "decree" or "order" with "Vault" representing a secure repository - perfectly capturing our mission to organize and secure educational resources for everyone.
